It’s that time of year when us authors start reminding readers of the stories we’ve had published this past year. So, without further ado, this year I have had two contemporary fantasy short stories published that are eligible for award nominations, which are as follows:
- Short story (up to 7,499 words): “Don’t Forget to Feed Barry“, published in the Wizard’s Tower Press anthology They Are Still Here (October 2026).
- Short story: “Who Are Ewe Calling A Cheat?“, published in the Zombies Need Brains anthology WERE-2 (November 2026).

If you’re thinking about what stories to nominate or vote for in the British Science Fiction Association, British Fantasy Society, Locus, Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, and so on awards over the next few months, I’d be eternally grateful, and honoured, if you would consider these stories in your deliberations.
